This ministry was established to encourage communication and inter relationship of all of the parishioners of St. Jude. We as volunteers encourage the community to get to know each other and welcome new families to our church as well as introduce our members to each other so that all of our parish family feels at home at St. Jude.
Our get together is not for teaching or studying our faith, but a social gathering over food and fellowship. Our intention was simple: meet and greet each other, while showing our families we are fellow Catholics searching for friendship and comradeship in our faith.
In addition, we help with major events and functions, as requested by the Pastor, that may arise and need our assistance.
Who can volunteer?
All parishioners (16 years of age or older) may volunteer.
Can I use it for Service Hours?
Yes!
Time Commitment:
One to two hours once a month to assist in serving refreshments and baked goods.
Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
As each one has received a gift,
use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
